Gris Argenté
All that glitters is not gold, an idiom borne out by Hermès’ latest gray hue. Doré’s silver cousin Gris Argenté gets its turn in the spotlight. It’s a gleaming metallic shade, as its name suggests; Argenté translates to Silver.

Hermès’ 2025 color lineup hews to subdued hues. A new Gray joins the neutrals, while the latest blue and green shades carry gray undertones. For brightness, Hermès reintroduces Blue Hydra (now called New Bleu Hydra) and adds a fresh red shade to the mix.
Bleu Tie
Bleu Tie is a mid-tone blue with a hint of gray, positioned between Bleu de Malte and Bleu de Presse. Certainly not as vibrant as shades like Bleu Royal, it brings a cool, muted tone to Hermès’ spectrum of blues.

New Bleu Hydra
While fashion has focused on the reincarnation of Bleu Jean (now New Bleu Jean), for 2025, there’s another re-release of an iconic shade. New Bleu Hydra revives the punchy brilliance of its 2012 predecessor. This vivid, electric blue remains as striking as ever.

Gris Pantin
Another addition to Hermès’ growing collection of grays, Gris Pantin leans toward an icy, blue-toned hue. Reminiscent of Bleu Glacier and Bleu Pale, yet close to the Gris Platine introduced in 2024, this cool-toned shade offers a fresh take on neutral.

Rouge Radieux
The boldest of the bunch, Rouge Radieux makes a statement with its brilliant, blue-based red. Unlike the warmer, orange-toned reds like Rouge De Cœur, this true lipstick shade leans cooler yet equally as vibrant.

Vert Mangrove
A deep, muted teal-green with strong gray undertones, Vert Mangrove sits between the forest green of Vert Cyprès and the stormy depth of Bleu Orage. In certain lighting, it appears nearly black, while in brighter conditions, its cool, grayish-green tones become more apparent.

New Cargo Colorways
For anyone lucky enough to get their hands on a Canvas Cargo Birkin, neutral options are on deck. The colors conjure association to nature, safaris, and even Pantone’s 2025 Color of the Year Mocha Mousse. One version is dark bronze. Another is beige with Gold leather trim. Last, but not least is mousse-colored canvas with Ecorce.

Classic Shades Return
In addition to the fresh hues, Hermès is revisiting two popular neutral tones for 2025 – Ardoise and Poussière.
Ardoise
For lovers of Hermès’ signature gray shades, Ardoise offers a cool, blue-toned gray. Meaning “slate” in French, this refined hue particularly shines on Swift leather, where it develops a subtle sheen. Often compared to Gris Misty, Ardoise is slightly deeper, while Gris Misty has a more pronounced blue undertone. It also shares similarities with Plomb, a deep charcoal gray with a shimmer that can appear almost black in certain lighting. However, Ardoise retains a softer, more muted aesthetic. Popular in or around 2010, Ardoise faded from the lineup, but it reappeared in late 2024 and continues to be a 2025 presence.

Poussière
Poussière re-enters the Hermès neutrals lineup this year with a muted, caramel-tinged beige that carries a subtle warmth. Its name, translating to “dust,” perfectly captures its delicate, muted charm, appearing darker than Parchemin yet similar in hue to Trench. In standard leathers like Epsom and Togo, Poussière resembles a toned-down Caramel or Doré without the glow. On exotic skins like alligator and crocodile, however, it transforms entirely, taking on a softer, more powdery blend of beige and cream that enhances the natural texture of the leather.

One word of caution, however: don’t get too attached to these new shades if you’re lucky enough to place a Special Order. These color options do not appear in the offerings. Indeed, the 2025 color list for Special Orders is largely a repeat of 2024.

Honestly, these colors are so close to other colors in the Hermes lines, it’s really hard to call them “new”. So, not impressed at all.
