Although first presented in March 2023, Chanel fans have been waiting for the official drop . . . even texting SAs in advance. It’s all about texture this fall – with everything from sequins, velvet, tweed, and patent. The star of the show here though is the iconic Chanel camellia – featured heavily on ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories, and of course handbags.
When it comes to colorways, monochromatic bags are at the forefront of this collection, with pops of soft pinks with coral undertones. Classic lovers can enjoy fall-ready tweeds, while Chanel 22 fans can add to their collection. This collection also marks the release of the hotly anticipated new Chanel Kelly bag.
Minis
Chanel once again leans into tiny bag energy for this fall 2023 collection. The classic mini flap bag has been redesigned in camellia patterned sequins and seasonally appropriate monochromatic tweeds, finished with ruthenium hardware.
Noir lovers also can rejoice – the chic all-black look is making a comeback. This seasonal mini flap bag is complete with an oversized chain shoulder strap and is crafted in shiny crumpled calfskin leather. Designed with an accordion-style silhouette, the bag is perhaps a touch more roomier than your average mini.
If black isn’t your thing, the same mini flap design can be found in pink and light beige wool-tweed, with chic silver-tone hardware. As well as a black and white tweed sequin edition.
As if that’s not enough tweed, there’s still more. The coveted pearl crush mini flap bag has been reimagined in multicolor wool tweed with gold-tone hardware in the square mini size. There’s also the pearl crush mini rectangle in black and white wool-tweed.
Suitably appropriate for the cooler months, this velvet flap bag features a graphic enamel camellia fastening rather than the classic interlocking CC. The mini-sized shoulder bag is complete with an intricate double-chain strap that is attached to the side of the bag and can be worn crossbody.
Camellia Flap Bag
The camellia proudly adorns this new patent leather design for fall. Available in a mini rectangular size, it’s a great alternative to the classics. You’ll find this new design in black, and white, as well as coral pink and red.
And if you want to combine classic Chanel codes – tweed and camellia – this mini crosses both off of your list. You can find the wool tweed in black and white, as well as black and pink.
Chanel 22
The Chanel 22 is still going strong this season, with new designs hitting boutiques. The ever-so-popular minis in this collection are adorned with freshly updated lacquered hardware, while the larger sizes receive the camellia treatment.
There are two mini 22 handbags on offer this fall – a coral pink, and classic black, both in the shiny-grained calfskin. Chanel has opted for a timeless black option here – with sleek lacquered metal lettering. For pink lovers, the new coral pink also comes complete with fresh new matching hardware.

You’ll find larger sizes of the Chanel 22 as well, perfectly suited to daily use. Available in black and white cashmere jacquard with contrasting gold-tone hardware, the latest design is adorned with a statement-making camellia print.
Another bold option is the monochrome printed calfskin Chanel 22 with silver-tone hardware. One for the ultimate Chanel lover, the graphic print features camellias, four-leaf clovers, and CC logos – all key codes for the brand.
The Chanel Kelly Bag
No doubt the bag die-hard Chanel fans await is the revamped Chanel Kelly. This remodeled vintage design named has been revived with a chain shoulder strap and a thicker top handle. Fabricated in an all-new shiny aged calfskin leather design it is available in three different sizes – micro, small, and large, all complete with the additional shoulder strap. Like the majority of other bags in this collection, it is available in classic black, as well as two shades of pink, and a gray-tone blue shade.
Eternal Camellia
Now we all love a camellia adorning an iconic Chanel handbag, but how about carrying one? This petite crossbody camellia flower design, features an intricate shoulder chain, with CC charm emblems. Available for $5,400, the bag comes in shiny aged calfskin in classic camellia white. For those looking for a fresher take, there’s black, light pink, and burgundy too.
Evening bags
There are plenty of evening bag options here, and the camellia continues to reign supreme. For the sleek and minimalist, there’s the all-black, east-west style clutch bag. Adorned with a camellia, of course. This understated clutch also features so-black hardware.
Collectors of Chanel’s iconic minaudière have three to choose from. There’s the sphere minaudière, with gold-tone hardware. Similar in aesthetic, there’s a flat circular minaudière with a bold CC design on one side and camellia on the other. Both are complete in black and white plexi, with a graphic camellia design and chain shoulder strap, so they’ll remain timeless. The print isn’t dissimilar to that of the Chanel 2006 camellia clutch and certainly is reminiscent of the iconic globe minaudière introduced in 2013. If statement bags are more your thing, there’s a brass, strass, metallic version available.
Hobo Bags
Chanel adds to its hobo-style bag options this Fall/Winter. The newest offering comes in shiny coral-pink lambskin and features chain-around detailing. In addition to the coral pink, there’s a larger white option as well.
Box Bags
Perhaps more structured handbags are more your thing? Not to worry, there are plenty of box bag options. Sophisticated and practical, and complete with a top handle, this new vintage-inspired box bag has classic bag allure. Available in patent calfskin leather, in classic black and vibrant red.
If the patent isn’t to your liking, there is a similar box bag design available in a fuschia and black tweed version. This flatter, top handle style has a silhouette reminiscent of the Chanel Trendy. You can also find an elongated east-west style, in black and white tweed, with sequins.
Vintage Inspired
Without a doubt vintage inspired, the new shopping bag features brushed gold-tone hardware and a classic purse-clasp-inspired fastening. Classic enough in design to be timeless, you’ll find this design in black calfskin, in a medium size. If you’re a wallet-on-chain lover, there’s also the downsized design in a small crossbody.
Hoop Bag
Similar in style to the micro hoop bag that dropped earlier this year in the 2023 Cruise Collection, this half-moon, chain-around mini bag has plenty of charm. Finished with a black grosgrain bow, and a white camellia flower for the finishing touch.

Chanel 19
The much-loved Chanel 19 has transitioned to fall too. Crafted in burgundy, gray, and black wool tweed, this large-sized 19-bag is ready for the cooler months.
When it comes to price points, all the Chanel Fall-Winter 2023/2024 handbags retail for above $4,000. However, this doesn’t come as much of a surprise considering worldwide price increases that have already taken place this year.
