We’ve previously delved into some of these hidden gems. But the story doesn’t end there. There’s more to uncover and appreciate. Today, we dive deeper into Goyard’s contemporary lineup, spotlighting more of their under-the-radar handbags.
Petit Flot Bucket Bag
The Petit Flot bucket bag is a modern reissue of the Jacquard bag from the 1960s, drawn from Goyard’s archives. This contemporary version retains the essential design elements of its predecessor while offering updated functionality. Named after the Goyard family’s original trade of log drivers passed down through generations, the Petit Flot merges tradition with modernity.
Featuring a classic bucket bag silhouette, the Petit Flot is designed with versatility in mind. The bag includes multiple holes and four studs inside, allowing for three different strap lengths and styles: short over the shoulder, mid-length over the shoulder, and long over the shoulder or crossbody.
Measuring 23 x 14.5 x 17 cm, this spacious bucket bag can easily accommodate all your daily essentials. It is secured with a leather cord drawstring, providing both easy access and security. The Petit Flot is available in all 11 of Goyard’s signature shades, offering a variety of options to suit any style.
Belvédère PM Bag
Goyard’s beloved Belvédère PM bag is a contemporary reinterpretation of the small bags traditionally used by log drivers to carry their meals while working. Named after the belvedere, or viewpoint, overlooking Clamecy and the clearings of the Morvan Forest family, this bag combines historical inspiration with modern design.
This streamlined satchel-style bag measures a practical 22 x 7 x 16 cm and is crafted from lightweight Goyardine canvas, accented with Decize Taurillon leather trim. Designed for everyday use, the Belvédère PM bag features a crossbody strap and a secure closure finished with silver-tone hardware, discreetly engraved with ‘Goyard Paris’.
Inside, you’ll find practical slip pockets for organization, as well as an exterior back slip pocket, perfect for frequently accessed items. Available in Goyard’s 11 iconic colorways, ranging from neutral tones like Black and Black/Tan to vibrant shades like Yellow and Orange, the Belvédère PM offers both functionality and style.
Minaudière Trunk Bag
Famed for its trunk-making history, Goyard has seamlessly integrated trunk-inspired, hard case mini bags into its handbag lineup over the years. The Minaudière Trunk bag encapsulates just that – the Maison’s dual expertise in trunk making and leather goods.
Drawing inspiration from the Saint-Honoré clutch bag, the Minaudière Trunk bag offers a small but exquisitely crafted interpretation. Measuring 11.5 x 5.5 x 17 cm, this mini trunk is both practical and lightweight, designed to be worn with or without its leather strap.
The Chevroches Calfskin strap, shaped like Goyard’s signature chevron from the brand’s canvas, encases the bag in an almost harness-like style. Finished with rivet detailing and a metal clasp, the bag exudes heritage design with an edgy contemporary flair. The Minaudière Trunk can be styled as a sophisticated box clutch or worn over the shoulder or crossbody for versatility.
The Minaudière Trunk is available in four of Goyard’s iconic colorways – Black, Black & Tan, White, Grey, and a very special Gold iteration.
Duchesse Marie-Caroline
Goyard unveiled its latest handbag in May, 2024, the Duchesse Marie-Caroline. Set to be a new classic, the Duchesse Marie-Caroline encapsulates Goyard’s heritage in a contemporary design.
The all-new Duchesse Marie-Caroline pays homage to one of Goyard’s most esteemed customers – HRH the Duchess Marie-Caroline of Berry. Born a Neapolitan princess, she wedded one of the sons of the King of France, leaving an indelible mark on 19th-century Paris.
Featuring an envelope style, the Duchesse Marie-Caroline bag boasts an almost east-west-inspired silhouette, measuring 15 cm x 6.5 cm x 25 cm. Crafted from a combination of iconic Goyardine canvas and luxurious Cervon Calfskin, it is secured with a clasp that reveals a single, spacious main compartment inside.
Currently, the bag is available in six iconic shades – Black, Black/Tan, Navy Blue, Burgundy, White, and Grey. Each shade is paired with elegant silver-tone hardware.
233 Bag
The 233 bag takes its name from Goyard’s historic store at number 233, rue Saint-Honoré in Paris’ 1st arrondissement. Since its release, this signature style has become one of Maison Goyard’s emblematic models.
While the 233 boasts a relatively simple shoulder bag design, its beauty lies in the details. Crafted from a combination of Goyardine canvas and Chevroches calfskin, the bag showcases a satchel-like flap design. The bag features a signature Goyard seal clasp, inspired by the seal found on the riveted plaques of the brand’s trunks.
Measuring 22 x 7 x 16 cm, the interior includes two flat pockets for organization. The bag can be worn over the shoulder, either long or short, thanks to its adjustable leather strap that slides through four metal eyelets.
The coveted 233 bag is available in Goyard’s eleven iconic shades.
