Where it all started…
In 2008 after creative director Valentino Garavani departed, new creative directors Maria Garzia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli revitalized the traditionally glamourous Valentino with a fresh, street attitude and bold energy. The Valentino Rockstud collection was one of the highlights of this transition.
The low heel slingback pump (2.5 inches) was first introduced in the Valentino Fall/Winter 2010 collection. Fashionistas were enamored with this shoe because of its comfortable height but flattering, fierce look. The straps and pointed toe create perfect lines and help elongate your legs. The studs were spunky, yet high fashion, and irresistible to the point where they were repeated in many more accessories. The Valentino Rockstud legacy continues as one of Valentino’s most recognizable, iconic looks.
