As we reported recently, Chanel gave its grand farewell to Karl in a Parisian “chalet” for its Fall/Winter 2019-20 show (read: With Lagerfeld’s Death, Interest in Chanel Skyrockets). But what we didn’t hone in on were the bags.
Now, we’d like to take a detailed look at Karl’s last bags. They truly run the gamut, but all fall perfectly into the Alps-skiing theme of the show. From the cheeky Ski Gondola Bags (a new favorite of ours!) to classic tweeds, the bags certainly did not disappoint. They were fun—some a little over-the-top, some more subdued—and served as a powerful reminder of just how much Karl will be missed.
