Following the lead of its sister brand, Louis Vuitton, Celine has quietly raised prices across Europe. These changes are subtle, but noteworthy, especially in light of the recent Q1 earnings report of parent company LVMH, which revealed a 5% organic drop in Fashion & Leather Goods revenue. Thankfully, the price increase impacts just one line of Celine handbags, albeit, perhaps the most popular, the Teen Triomphe. The price adjustments apply to two key leather variations and, so far, are exclusive to the European market.

So, what does this mean for your wishlist? The increases are surprisingly sharp. The price of the Teen Triomphe in Shiny Calfskin jumped from €2,850 to €3,300 – a €450 hike, reflecting a 15.8% increase. Meanwhile, the Natural Calfskin version rose from €3,300 to €3,600, marking a 9% uptick.
But there’s a silver lining – prices for other popular lines like the Camille, Nino, 16, and Victoire remain untouched. So, if any of those are on your radar, consider it a small relief (for now).

Currently, there are no changes to Celine prices in the U.S. or the U.K. A rumored price hike was expected to land on April 21st in the U.S., but that date came and went with no changes. Still, American shoppers may want to stay alert. With ongoing tariff tensions impacting European imports to the U.S., Hermès has already announced a stateside price increase.

During LVMH’s recent Q1 2025 revenue presentation, tariffs were a major topic. The group’s Chief Financial Officer, Cécile Cabanis, noted that the situation remains highly fluid. She urged calm and emphasized that pricing is not the group’s primary growth lever—volume and mix are. However, she acknowledged that price increases could be used to offset inflation, noting that “It will not be one-size-fits-all.” Rather, she continued, price increases can be very different depending on the brand and depending on the categories within the brand. Taken together, these remarks may signal a potential U.S. price adjustment on the horizon, though when, and for which brands, remains unclear.
