Van Cleef & Arpels Expands the Blue Agate Alhambra Collection

Great news for Agate lovers – Van Cleef & Arpels (Van Cleef) is adding four new pieces to its Blue Agate Alhambra range!

First introduced in the 1989 collection, Blue Agate quickly became a staple in the luxury jewelry community when Van Cleef relaunched the stone a few years ago to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Alhambra collection. Agate is a soft yet vibrant blue set in radiant 18k yellow gold to subtly enhance the color’s glow.

The stone’s triumphant return in 2018 featured a 10 Motif Vintage Alhambra Necklace and 5 Motif Vintage Alhambra Bracelet. Two other pieces, the Magic Alhambra Long Necklace and 20 Motif Vintage Alhambra Necklace, have since joined the collection.

Van Cleef will expand the collection once again on September 2, 2024, with the introduction of four new pieces: the Vintage Alhambra Pendant, Vintage Alhambra Earrings, Sweet Alhambra Watch, and the Alhambra Reversible Ring.

The Vintage Alhambra Pendant will retail for $3,250, and the Vintage Alhambra Earrings will retail for $4,750.

The Sweet Alhambra watch will feature alternating Blue Agate gemstones and yellow gold guilloche motifs and retail for $18,600.

Perhaps the most newly anticipated addition is the Agate Alhambra Reversible Ring. Van Cleef introduced this design in its Carnelian and Rose Gold Guilloche collection last Fall. Since then, this ring style has become extremely popular.

Priced at $5,950, girl math indicates that this is a steal because you’re getting two rings in one! The ring will feature a reversible motif with Blue Agate on one side and yellow gold guilloche with a diamond on the other side.
