Matthieu Blazy has just landed the hottest role in fashion, taking the helm as Chanel’s fourth Artistic Director. As the world watches his next moves with anticipation, it’s worth celebrating the genius that made him a household name at Bottega Veneta.
Renowned for creating modern classics like the Andiamo, Sardine, and Hop, Blazy has mastered the art of blending timeless elegance with contemporary flair. While these iconic designs anchor Bottega Veneta’s lineup, fresh iterations, and innovative alternatives are taking the spotlight, and these three Bottega Veneta bags steal the show.

Pinacoteca

Designed with reversible functionality, the Pinacoteca showcases two distinctive sides. One side features Bottega’s iconic Intrecciato weave in calf leather, while the other reveals a smooth, contrasting suede lining. This versatile design effortlessly transitions between two looks, making it a stylish companion through every season.

The classic Pinacoteca features two top handles, which are ideal for those who prefer a traditional tote style. However, for added versatility, the Small Pinacoteca comes with an adjustable and detachable shoulder strap, making it suitable for shoulder or crossbody wear.
Available in two sizes, the Pinacoteca puts in overtime for day and night. The small version, measuring 5.9 x 9.4 x 4.7 inches, is compact yet functional for day-to-night, while the classic Pinacoteca, at 9.1 x 16.9 x 6.9 inches, offers more space for everyday use. Both designs feature an open top secured with a small tie, and each includes a detachable zippered pouch to keep essentials secure.

The bag is offered in a variety of color combinations. The small Pinacoteca comes in three shades, each paired with a Fondant brown suede lining. Choose from Lunar, a chic sky blue, Travertine, a neutral khaki, and classic Black. Meanwhile, the classic Pinacoteca is available in Black with Fondant and Madder Brown with Lunar. Prices for the small Pinacoteca start at $3,500, while the larger style is priced at $4,400.

Andiamo
Named one of 2024’s best accessories by Vogue’s Annual Year in Fashion Poll, Bottega Veneta’s Andiamo bag, first introduced in the Spring/Summer 2024 runway shows, shows no signs of losing momentum. Now available in a variety of sizes, colors, and textures, this best-seller is here to stay.

The latest addition to the ever-expanding Andiamo family forgoes Bottega’s signature Intrecciato for a more minimalist design. Crafted from smooth, silky calfskin, with a discreet ‘Bottega Veneta’ embossing, this new style incorporates Intrecciato elements in a quiet luxe way. It retains the top handle, sliding strap, and an Intrecciato leather internal pocket, maintaining a nod to the brand’s heritage while embracing a quieter, more refined approach.
Finished with four metal feet to protect the base, and secured by a magnetic closure, this slouchy design offers the option to wear it open or closed, thanks to an adjustable strap that weaves through the entire bag and is secured by the signature brass finish knot detail. Slide the long shoulder strap through the four eyelets to convert the bag into a comfortable, hands-free accessory. Alternatively, it can be carried by hand or worn on the shoulder.
The smooth-leather Andiamo is available in two sizes—a smaller version measuring 9.8 x 12.6 x 4.3 inches and a large size with generous proportions of 13.8 x 16.5 x 7.1 inches. Offered in neutral shades like Fondant, Black, and Light Butterscotch, as well as statement colors like Rosewood, the regular size retails for $5,500, while the large Andiamo is priced at $8,400.

Crafted entirely from Intrecciato lambskin leather, the Parachute features the signature brass finish knot detail seen on the coveted Andiamo. With its almost bucket-like silhouette, the bag offers an open top secured with a magnetic tab closure for effortless access.
The small Parachute brings versatility, thanks to a detachable, adjustable strap that allows for crossbody wear, or style as a classic tote. Meanwhile, the large Parachute is designed exclusively for hand-held carry or comfortable shoulder wear.
Available in two sizes, the small Parachute measures 6.5 x 7.9 x 6.7 inches, while the large version offers more generous dimensions at 10.2 x 11.8 x 7.9 inches. Inside the large Parachute, you’ll find a detachable interior zipped pocket to organize your essentials, while the small edition features one main compartment for a simpler design.
Choose from a curated palette of shades, including Cameo, Sea Salt, Green Oasis, Lunar, and Fondant. The Small Parachute is priced at $4,150, while the large version retails for $5,900.
Are you drawn to the fresh, updated Andiamo, or do you favor the timeless charm of the Parachute? Perhaps the versatile Pinacoteca is more your style? Share your top pick.
